What's it all about: Getting our nourishment
We eat different amounts of food, have our favorite meals and our own unique method of accomplishing this necessary and usually enjoyable task. We develop our basic eating habits while growing up and later refine them in school and by watching adults. We observe different ways of handling the knives, forks, napkins, and seasonings. We try to develop good table manners and avoid tipping the water glass or dropping food on the floor; this is where we first hear of the three second rule.
