Baseball team announces end-of-season awards

The Lake City High School varsity baseball team was eliminated in the opening round of the Section 1AA playoffs, forcing an early exit to a hopeful playoff run. The Tigers failed to get anything going offensively as they fell 3-1 to the Bulldogs.
Colter Hegge threw 6.1 innings for the Tigers striking out 11 Plainview-Elgin-Millville batters. Despite this dominant pitching performance, lack of run support and a few defensive miscues led to Lake City’s downfall.
