Basketball players recognized at awards banquet

By Michelle Bremer
The Lake City Tiger girls basketball team held their year-end banquet on Thursday, March 7.
Coach Clay Olstad recapped the season for the girls, noting that the girls had a great season this year, ending the year with a 20-7 record, the most wins since 1984. They were Hiawatha Valley League Gold Division champs.  The last time that goal was reached was in 1995.
The girls averaged 68.3 points per game (ppg) which broke the 1988 season record of 60.1 ppg.
