Boys beat Cannon Falls to advance to section final

The Lake City Tiger boys basketball team punched a ticket to its first section championship game since 2019 leading from start to finish in a 69-54 victory over Cannon Falls at the Mayo Civic Center Auditorium Saturday night in the Section 1AA Semifinals.

Ryan Heise opened the game with back-to-back three pointers as the Tigers raced to an early 6-0 lead after two minutes of play. Six early points by Dylan Banks fueled an 11-6 run by the Bombers to draw within one with 11:36 to play until halftime.
