Boys seal HVL Blue title with win over Goodhue

Lake City captured an unprecedented sixth consecutive Hiawatha Valley League Division crown in boys’ basketball on Friday night as the Tigers ran past Goodhue 71-46.
Two early triples from Nathan Heise and one by Jake Wohlers helped the Tigers grab an 11-6 lead just three minutes in, but a tense opening eight minutes featured seven lead changes and two ties as the Wildcats opened the game shooting seven of nine from the field.
