Defense helps notch grid Tiger win over La Crescent
The Lake City Tiger football team used its best defensive effort of the season to notch an 18-7 victory over La Crescent on Friday night in the regular season home finale. The Tigers held the Lancers to an astounding negative 34 rushing yards and yielded just 131 total yards of offense to La Crescent in the contest.
The Lancers had success on the opening drive of the game as they marched 68 yards in seven plays to take an early 7-0 lead. From that point forward, the visitors mustered only 63 yards of offense.
