An eventful youth wrestling season ends
The Lake City youth wrestling season concluded with 13 athletes qualifying for the Northland Youth Wrestling Association (NYWA) Region Tournament held in Byron on March 20-21.
To qualify, wrestlers placed in the top two spots at various District qualifying events throughout Minnesota.
At regions, wrestlers who placed first through third qualified for the NYWA State Tournament and fourth through sixth places qualified for the NYWA Invite, both held at the Mayo Civic Center in Rochester on March 27-29.
