Football: Tigers win season opener 7-6

A goal line defensive stand in the final minute preserved a hard fought 7-6 victory for the Lake City High School football team in its 2024 season opener Friday night at La Crescent. The Tigers defied statistical odds in the victory finishing with just one yard of total offense and two first downs.

Braxton Berlin recorded an interception on the initial possession of the game for La Crescent-Hokah, but the Tigers were unable to capitalize on the turnover, going three and out.
