Girls basketball opens season with win over Saints
The Lake City Tigers girls basketball team kicked off their season Nov. 21 on the road against St. Charles.
The Tigers have five returning starters this year including senior Ava Wallerich, junior Grace Bany, and sophomores Lilly Meincke, Mya Shones and Natalie Bremer.
The Tigers took the tip-off from the Saints, but the Saints scored first on the Tigers. A steal from the Tigers went to Natalie Bremer for a layup. She got fouled on the shot and went to the line for two, missing the first and making the second shot.
