Girls golf wins 12th straight conference title
The Lake City girls golf team (LC) captured their 12th consecutive Hiawatha Valley League (HVL) Championship by posting a 341 at Northern Hills Golf Course on May 18.
LC’s 341 edged Lourdes by 9 strokes, followed by Pine Island-Zumbrota-Mazeppa (PIZM) 359, Byron 382, Cannon Falls 389, Kasson-Mantorville 401 and Stewartville 402.
LC was led by Taylor Davidson’s 83, Jordyn Dicke’s 84, Alayna Atkinson’s 86, and Ellie Kohrs’ 88.
Other scores included Julia Huettl’s 91 and Marlena Brunkow’s 95.
