Girls softball is edged by Byron

Even though Lake City’s defense was superior to the one Byron brought to last Friday’s varsity softball game, their offense was lacking in power and confidence.
The game started very promisingly for the Tigers after a pitch to her leg put Deonna Jostock on first, and later on third when Nora Baer doubled down the right field line. Both crossed home plate when a grounder by Olivia Bailey was deflected by the first baseman.
The Tigers went out to the field with two runs on the board, and led 2-0 through a very quick second inning.
