Heise hoists Walter Cup
Lake City native Taylor Heise was already the first player selected in the first draft ahead of the first season of the Professional Women’s Hockey League. She’s since made her mark on the league’s inaugural season with a few more firsts.
On Wednesday, May 29, in Boston, Heise and her PWHL - Minnesota teammates defeated PWHL - Boston 3-0 in game 5 of the Walter Cup final.
In doing so, PWL - Minnesota became the six-team league’s first champions.
