High School anglers compete at Tournament of Champions
Three youth anglers from Lake City have been competing in Student Angler Tournament Trail bass fishing events throughout the state this past summer.
The tournament trail is sponsored by Lund boats and Rapala and consist of five different events.
As many as 200 teams made up of ninth through 12th grade two-person student teams and one adult boat captain/coach compete in the events.
Boat captains/coaches do not fish in the events and only drive the boat, offer the student anglers fishing advice, and assist with netting of the fish.
