Junior varsity bowlers win state title
Sunday Nov. 21 took Lake City’s junior varsity (JV) Black and Orange bowling teams to the state tournament at Southtown Lanes in Bloomington.
The state tournament consisted of three rounds. The first round was 10 games of qualifier.
Lake City JV Black qualified No. 1 with a total pin fall of 1775, an average of 177.5. Lake City JV Orange qualified No. 6 with a total pin fall of 1538, an average of 153.8. After the first round six teams were eliminated and the remaining 16 teams were put into four pools of four teams.
