Powerhouse Byron shuts out Tiger softball

The Lake City High School softball team met up with one of Hiawatha Valley League’s power houses on their own turf and was shut out and sent home after the fifth inning April 29.

The Tigers just couldn’t get a hit off Byron’s pitching and saw their only hit come from Elyse Dalager with a single to center field in the fifth inning.

The Bears put one runner across home in the first inning after Madeline Medvec snagged a hit to deep left field.

Jenna Brown and Megan Jostock got the other two outs on infield plays.
