Rare meeting ends in defeat for Tiger boys basketball

Ethan Forthun scored a game-high 22 points to power Southland past Lake City 69-57 last Thursday in the first meeting since 1983 between the two schools.

The first three minutes featured six lead changes before Jaden Shones gave Lake City its largest lead of the night at 10-6 following a three-point play. The Rebels rattled off six straight points before a triple by Justin Wohlers gave Lake City a 13-12 edge with 10:40 left in the first half.
