Section 1A wrestling starts
Lake City’s wrestling team will travel to Caledonia this afternoon (Thursday) to take on Chatfield at 6 p.m. in the first round of the Section 1A dual tournament. Lake City was seeded seventh, and Chatfield was seeded 10th.
Caledonia was seeded second and will wrestle the winner of the first round dual. The winner of that quarterfinal will advance to Saturday’s semifinals at Rochester’s Mayo Civic Arena at 11 a.m. The championship will follow at 1 p.m.
Seedings are based on records and head-to-head competition.
