Slow start for boys golfers in Pine Island

On April 23, the Lake City Boys’ Golf team traveled to Pine Island Golf Course. The team score of 336 earned them a 5th-place finish. The Tigers had a slow start but battled throughout the round while also contending with 15–25 mph winds all day long.

Alex Ratz struggled through the first four holes (+8) before finding his groove over the next 12 holes (11 pars, 1 birdie). Ratz finished tied for 13th place on the day with a score of 80 (+9), recording 1 birdie, 12 pars, 2 bogeys, 1 double, and 2 triples.
