Softball Tigers capture win over Cannon Falls

The Lake City varsity softball Tigers battled more than the weather elements Tuesday when they came away with a win over Cannon Falls 10-6.
With the game tied 2-2, Laura Heitman drove in two runs in the top of the third with a double. Kayla Chavez also doubled, driving in a run.
Mackenzie Noll drove in a run in the top of the seventh.
Ashley Thieren earned the win on the mound, pitching seven innings. She gave up six runs, 11 hits and struck out eight batters.
