Solid D not enough as Tiger girls fall to Byron 38-58

Despite a strong defensive effort, the Lake City High School girls basketball team lost 38-58 to Byron Dec. 22.

“We played one of our best games of the season on the defensive end of the floor,” Lake City coach Drew Olinger said. “Alea Sanderson did a very impressive job of containing their best player and our team defense around her was very solid. We still need to work to create more on the offensive end, but I was very impressed with our effort against one of the top teams in our conference.”
