Tennis Tigers edged out in conference matches
Lake City Tiger girls tennis’s home opener on Tuesday, Sept. 13, against the Stewartville Senior High (SSH) Tigers, was stifled with some hard-fought matches.
Emily Mehrkens at No. 3 singles and Rylee Thieren at No. 4 singles both went into tie breakers to decide their matches. Sophia Mahn and Kaylynn Hagedorn at No. 2 doubles and Liberty Heise at No. 2 singles played some grueling points but also fell short against the neighboring Tiger team.
