Tiger boys lose close one to Triton

Noah Thomas scored with two seconds remaining as Triton defeated Lake City 62-60 to take over first place in the Hiawatha Valley League Blue Division last Thursday night in Dodge Center.

Lake City appeared to be holding for the final shot of the game, but Jaxon Sackett forced a steal out on the top of the key and found Thomas who was racing down the left side of the floor for a layup. The Tigers had one final chance to force overtime, but Justin Wohlers was unable to hit a turn around jumper at the buzzer.
