Tiger boys lose thriller to Stewartville
Stewartville’s unbeaten run through the Hiawatha Valley League continued last Thursday as they edged Lake City 55-53 in a thriller decided in the final minute. Free throws played a crucial role in a game that featured 12 lead changes and eight ties.
A very competitive and intense game from start to finish saw neither team lead by more than three points in the first half. Jaden Shones scored six early points, including a basket with 13:29 left in the first half that gave Lake City its first lead of the game at 8-7.
