Tigers girls win over PEM

The Lake City Tiger girls basketball team opened their new season on Nov. 30 with a loss to Zumbrota-Mazeppa and followed the loss up with a win Dec. 1 over Plainview-Elgin-Millville.
Friday’s game was their home opener against Plainview-Elgin-Millville (PEM).
The girls came out strong from the start of the game and took a quick 9-5 lead.  The Tiger defense was key as they caused the Bulldogs to turn the ball over several times in the first half along with getting two key fouls on Hayley Dessner early in the game.
