Tigers shut out Dover-Eyota in football season opener

The 2020 high school football season got underway on an unseasonably warm October night last Friday as Lake City beat Dover-Eyota 29-0 to record its first shutout victory in eight years.

The Eagles opened the game with an onside kick, but the Tigers were not fooled and quickly had the first scoring opportunity after a 39-yard run by Ben Nutt. Lake City was unable to get on the scoreboard however as a key sack on third down foiled the scoring chance.
