With the regular season winding down, the Lake City High School girls basketball team is playing some of their best basketball yet. Their 57-52 road win over Byron Feb. 12 was their fifth win in their last six games. The Bears are in second place and were coming off a 94-59 victory over Rochester Lourdes Feb. 8. “This was the best game that we have played this season,” Lake City coach Drew Olinger said. “Our girls played with a sense of urgency and played with confidence for the bulk of the game.”
