Wrestlers bow in opener
The Lake City Tiger wrestling team started the season last Friday as they dropped a 64-9 dual to third ranked Zumbrota-Mazeppa. Then on Saturday the Tigers finished seventh in the Ellsworth Invitational as they placed five wrestlers in the top six at their weights. Sophomore Tanner Frank placed the highest of the Tiger squad as he finished second at 106 pounds.
Senior Jeremy Keller placed fifth at 120 pounds as did fellow senior Jake Siewert at 220 pounds. Finishing sixth were juniors Denilzo Baltazar (138) and Edwin Vazquez (170).
