Author talk part of Reads Landing museum’s opening weekend

The Wabasha County Historical Society Museum in Reads Landing will celebrate opening weekend for its 2026 season on Saturday, May 16, and Sunday, May 17.

As part of the weekend festivities, visitors are invited to a free special presentation on Sunday, May 17, at 2 p.m. featuring a local author, Goran Pesic, as he talks about his book: “The Greatest Mysteries of Lake Pepin.”

“Pesic will take the audience on a journey through the legends, folklore, and unexplained stories that have shaped the Lake Pepin region for generations. Bring family and friends to enjoy opening weekend and discover the history, mystery, and unique stories of this remarkable area,” according to a news release.
