Church and coffee shop’s support totals over $2,000
The Railhouse Grill’s Coffee Depot and the Lake City United Methodist Church donated over $2,000 worth of coffee and other beverages to local healthcare workers between March 18 and June 1, when the offer ended.
Railhouse Grill owner Lisa Wallerich said members of the church approached the restaurant looking for a way to show support and appreciation for healthcare workers during the COVID-19 pandemic. They decided to provide coffee and other beverages to the workers and split the cost.
“It is with heartfelt thanks that we give back,” the Railhouse said in a news release.
