Dairy royalty adjusts outreach during pandemic

Although the Dairy Princess coronation was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 royalty is ready to serve the community, and is excited to kick off June dairy month, according to the Wabasha County American Dairy Association (ADA).

In past people would see these dairy advocates at local grocery stores or other small businesses, talking to the public and handing out dairy samples.

This year, however, the girls are now challenged to take a different approach to educate the public and tell their story.

People can expect to see a strong social media presence on Facebook at Wabasha County Dairy Princess and ADA. As the summer goes on, they hope to get back into the routine of attending local events, and getting to communicate with others in person.

Sponsors for the Dairy Princess Royalty this year are: Swan Jewelers, KBS, Foresight Bank, Miller’s IBA, GB Feed and Supply, Goodhue Veterinary Clinic, Feils Oil Company, Peoples State Bank, Rob Young, Schumacher Dairy Farms of Plainview, Lehnertz Dairy Farm, Central Livestock, and Northland Farm Systems.
