Flag display to honor Class of 2020

The Lake City American Legion Post 110 and Auxiliary are honoring the Lincoln High School 2020 graduates by placing American flags in the Prairie Street lot across the street from the high school.

Each of the 97 flags will have a name and picture of a graduate attached to the pole. They will be in alphabetical order for ease of locating a particular person.

The flags will be placed on Wednesday, May 27, starting at 9:30 a.m., and will remain in place until Monday morning June 1.

“This special display honors the resiliency of the senior class as they have journeyed through an unprecedented pandemic. May they continue their life journey stronger and wiser. Congratulations!,” the legion and auxiliary said in a news release.

The groups also thank the Zumbrota VFW for loaning the use of the flags.
