Foundation holds second weInvest 365 event

The Greater Lake City Community Foundation (GLCCF) hosted its second annual weInvest 365 event on Tuesday, May 5, at the Lake City City Hall ballroom. The evening highlighted the important work of local nonprofit organizations and their impact on the community.

During the event, weInvest 365 donors and invited guests met with representatives from area nonprofits before voting on grant awards for each organization.

Following a brief program presented by Foundation Chairman Peter Coyle and Director Greg Langfield, a total of $7,800 was awarded to six nonprofits, with grants ranging from $1,000 to $1,550.

The organizations will use the funds to further their missions and community programs.

Grant recipients included Destination Lake City, Environmental Learning Program, Lake City Area Arts, Lake City Historical Society, Hispanic Inclusion Lake City and Lake Pepin Legacy Alliance.
