Great River Homes golf fundraiser coming to Lake Pepin Golf Course on June 5
Community members are invited to come together for a day of golf, food, fun, and giving back during the 34th annual Great River Homes, Inc. Tom Peyla Golf Fundraiser and Dinner on Friday, June 5, at Lake Pepin Golf Course in Lake City.
Great River Homes, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that provides residential and in-home support services to children and adults with disabilities in Wabasha County.
This year’s fundraiser will help Great River Homes purchase a much-needed vehicle to provide accessible transportation for children and adults with disabilities throughout Wabasha County. As programs continue to grow, transportation has become an increasing need, especially in our rural community, where public transportation options are limited. An additional vehicle will allow individuals receiving services to more easily attend medical appointments, jobs, community activities, shopping trips, and social events—helping foster independence, inclusion, and connection within their community.
Great River Homes hopes to raise $25,000 through this year’s event and online auction. Organizers encourage community members, businesses, and supporters to participate in any way they can to help make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities.
The fundraiser will feature a nine-hole, best-shot golf extravaganza with four-person teams beginning with a 1 p.m. shotgun start. Following golf, participants can enjoy games, prizes, a cash bar, dinner, and additional fundraising activities in the clubhouse.
The cost to golf is $100 per person and includes green fees, golf cart, mulligan, and dinner. Non-golfers are also welcome to attend the evening activities and buffet-style dinner for $35 per person.
In addition to the golf tournament, Great River Homes will once again host an online auction featuring a variety of generously donated raffle baskets, experiences, and specialty items. The auction opens Thursday, May 28, at 8 a.m. and closes Saturday, June 6, at 4:30 p.m.
Sponsorships and golf registrations, along with payment, should be submitted by May 22, 2026, to Great River Homes, Inc., 611 Broadway Avenue, Suite 105, Wabasha, MN 55981. Great River Homes extends its gratitude to the many businesses, donors, volunteers, and community members whose continued support helps make this event possible each year. Everyone is invited to join in for a memorable day of golf and community while helping improve the lives of people with disabilities in Wabasha County.
