Heritage Tree Trail dedication is May 18

On Thursday, May 18, there will be a formal dedication of the Lake City Heritage Tree Trail, Minnesota’s first Heritage Tree Trail. The public is invited to attend.

The celebration will begin at 6 p.m., rain or shine, with a gathering of people in Ohuta Park near the large cottonwood trees on the shore of Lake Pepin.

The cottonwood tree, which is the first of 10 heritage trees on the trail, will be marked with a large yellow ribbon.
