Lakewood Cemetery offers a look into the past
Last Wednesday, the Walking Lake Pepin walkers met at the home of Paul and Wanda Myers on Pine Grove Lane and took a walk around the neighborhood and into Lakewood Cemetery. As the group walked through the cemetery Lois Borner pointed out some of the grave sites of the early settlers of Lake City; the Patton’s, Dwelle’s and Doughty’s to name a few. The group also came across the grave site of Police Officer Shawn Schneider who was tragically killed in December 2011.
