Local fire departments join statewide mask drive

The fire departments in Lake City and Zumbro Falls will accept donations of homemade masks on Saturday, April 25, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Masks will be distributed to local group living facilities for employees and residents to wear to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Fire departments statewide are joining the drive.
Because the disease can spread through people who don’t show symptoms, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends people wear cloth face masks when in public and especially in areas where it is difficult to maintain the recommended six feet of social distance.
The Zumbro Falls Fire Department is located on Highway 60 in Zumbro Falls.
Lake City Fire Department is located at 208 South High Street in Lake City.
