'National Night Out' slated for Aug. 1 in Lake City
The 34th annual National Night Out will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 1.
National Night Out is a partnership between police and the community to organize block parties and other events designed to strengthen relationships in the neighborhoods, raise crime prevention awareness, and continue relationships with public safety services through visits from police, fire, and ambulance personnel.
National Night Out is sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch and this year will be the 12th year Lake City has participated.
