Rollerskating comes to Bluff View

Bluff View Elementary students recently participated in an activity that may trigger fond memories for some of their parents and grandparents.

This year, for the first time, a roller skating unit was part of the physical education curriculum for students in grades kindergarten through six.

Over the course of the two-week unit, they learned skating techniques including—crucially—how to fall safely.

Third graders on their second day of the unit could choose between three skating areas, depending on their comfort level.
