School, city mourn an inspiring leader

Lake City and its students lost a tireless booster when Paul Holland passed away March 11 at age 57.

Holland’s most visible role was as Lincoln High School Band director for nearly two decades, but he was very active behind the scenes on events like the Water Ski Days Parade and the Lake City Memorial Day celebration.

As a musician he performed throughout the area with several groups, including a headlining performance at the Water Ski Days beer tent with his band Backlash.
