Sportsman’s Club to celebrate a half century on Aug. 19

The Lake City Sportsman’s Club is hosting a 50th anniversary celebration at its clubhouse on Sunday, Aug. 19.

The clubhouse will be open from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. with food and beverages available.

There will be live music from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

The public is welcome to attend.

It isn’t the club’s 50th anniversary, but it is the anniversary of the construction of the current clubhouse as well as the 50th anniversary of the sportsman’s club ice fishing contest on Lake Pepin, according to club member Amy Brinkman.
