The annual Frontenac Sportsman’s Club ice fishing contest on Frontenac pond will take place as scheduled Saturday, Feb. 11, but attendees will have to leave their automobiles on land.
“Grab your boots, snowshoes and skis” because Hok-Si-La Park in Lake City and the Lake City Lions Club will host an illuminated walk at the park on Feb. 11 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The path will follow the park’s south loop illuminated by hundreds of luminaries.

The Lake City Sportsman’s Club’s annual ice fishing contest is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 18, just offshore from the club building at 2200 S. Oak St., Lake City, with lots to do inside the club as well.
The kids fishing contest is from 10:30 a.m. to noon on the ice. There is no entry fee.
