Veterans Day events begin Friday, Nov. 9
With Nov. 11 falling on a Sunday this year, local Veterans Day observances are a little more spread out on the calendar this year.
The Bluffs of Lake City is hosting several events on Friday, Nov. 9. The day begins with a Wabasha County Veterans Service presentation on benefits at 10 a.m. A free military luncheon will follow at 11:45 a.m. RSVPs are requested by calling 651-448-8333. A Veterans Day ceremony begins at 2:30 p.m., followed by an ice cream and cake social at 3:15 p.m.
