Wabasha County extends cannabis product moratorium

Wabasha County Supervisors on June 25 approved the extension of an interim ordinance regarding cannabis and other products containing tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), a medicinal compound utilized to manage and treat chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting and stimulate appetite, according to the National Institutes of Health, through Jan. 1, 2025.

A motion by Don Springer and seconded by Mike Wobbe passed, approving the extension in order to regulate, restrict and prohibit businesses related to cannabis and other products.
