EDA pushes Lake City 'Opportunity Zone' application

Lake City may or may not be designated an “Opportunity Zone.” But if it isn’t, it won’t be for lack of trying on the part of the Lake City Economic Development Authority.

One of the less-publicized provisions of the federal tax overhaul signed into law last December, the program offers tax breaks for investing in census tracts designated as opportunity zones under the law.
