Familiar faces vie for city administrator job

Five finalists remain out of a candidate pool of 38 applicants for the Lake City city administrator job, and two of them have previously worked for the city.
Gary Weiers of David Drown Associates, the firm the City Council hired to help it select a replacement for retiring City Administrator Mark Sievert, told the council March 13 that it isn’t the number of applicants, but the quality.
“I felt extremely good about the quality of this group as well,” Weiers said.
