Illg joins city as finance director

Jerome Illg was front-and-center at one of the first Lake City Council meetings since becoming the city’s finance director last month.
At a workshop meeting Monday, April 13, he presented on the process and considerations for developing a city budget for 2021.
Illg replaces Amy Hove, who left in January after three years with the city to become finance director in Inver Grove Heights, Minn.
“I look forward to ... being an asset to the city,” he said.
