More human remains found on Mississippi

On Aug. 20, the Wabasha County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that human remains had been discovered on the Mississippi River and that those remains are believed to be associated with remains discovered July 14 in West Newton.

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is doing DNA tests on the remains to see if they are a match for David Sheridan, a sailer on Lake Pepin who has been missing since April 29. His boat was discovered on the shore near Camp Lacupolis on April 30 with its lights on and engine running.
