Motorcyclist killed in Hwy. 60 crash

On Sunday, Aug. 30, at around 1:12 p.m., a 2024 Yamaha YZF motorcycle traveling westbound on Hwy. 60 lost control and struck a guardrail near milepost 214 in Wabasha County.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Nicholas Simien, 27, from Minneapolis died in the crash. He was wearing a helmet and alcohol was not suspected.

Responders included the Wabasha County Sheriff’s Office.
