New greenhouse boosts education, local food

Outside it was overcast and a bit gloomy April 11, but it was a beautiful spring day inside Lincoln High School’s new greenhouse where flowers for the FFA’s upcoming plant sale were in bloom.

The school district was holding an open house for the year-round facility constructed between the tennis courts and the school building on the Prairie Street side.

In attendance were community members, contractors and county, school district and state officials.
