Wabasha County Assessor resigns

Wabasha County Assessor Penny Schmit has resigned.
The announcement was made by County Board Vice Chair Mike Wobbe at the regular County Board meeting on Aug. 6. The matter was not discussed, only that she would be gone by mid-August.
Mike Wobbe chaired this meeting in the absence of Board Chair Don Springer. All other board members were present, along with County Administrator Brian Buhmann and County Attorney Karrie Kelly.
